The College won the Sydney Morning Herald's Picasso Competion.

Year 10 students attended the Exhibition as guests of Fairfax Publishing. It was a wonderful day, the Picasso Exhibition was amazing, but so were the other art works and the works from the HSC Students of 2011 in Art Express. Everyone found pieces that pleased or intrigued them. For most students it was their first experience of any art gallery. The art works provoke a strong reaction from the viewer when physically present. The size of an artwork can also be influential, but the size is not clearly conveyed by a book or a white board and the internet. The senior art students also attended the Exhibition in a separate excursion.

This painting is one of Picasso's last works.
